William Purves are one of the UK’s largest Independent Funeral Directors, providing support to families throughout the bereavement process for over 130 years. With a complex, multi-site operation covering a diverse property portfolio including high street retail units, funeral homes, offices, memorial workshops and vehicle storage and maintenance facilities, William Purves took the decision to outsource the management of their utilities to a third party. After an in-depth selection process, Boxfish were delighted to be chosen as the groups new energy and water management partner.
Our approach focused on providing high quality, comprehensive and proactive management support services that were designed to remove the day-to-day burden from the William Purves Management Team and which also provided complete transparency on the costs involved. Over time, as the Boxfish team better understood the key drivers and challenges associated with the management of utilities across the group, we were able to introduce a number of additional value added services, culminating in the identification of mis-sold utility contracts that were brokered by their previous incumbent.
We are delighted with the ongoing utility management support we’ve received from the Boxfish team and would highly recommend them to any other business. Not only have they reduced the amount of time that our staff spend dealing with suppliers and complex queries but they’ve also renegotiated a contract our previous broker had put in place that has saved us over £100k by eliminating the excess hidden commission. A brilliant result every time and a great extension to our team.
