The Energy Savings Opportunities Scheme (ESOS) was introduced by the Government in 2014. This will require large companies to periodically (every four years) complete energy audits which cover 90% of energy usage within the company to help reduce UK carbon emission. The energy assessments and overall compliance must be signed off by a qualified Lead Assessor who is registered by an approved professional body.
We have highly qualified and experienced ESOS Lead Assessors / Auditors who are ready to help. Not only will you comply with the ESOS Phase 2 deadline but you could save money on your energy costs.
Qualifying organisations that do not submit confirmation of their compliance to The Environment Agency by the deadline of 5th December 2019 are in breach of the regulation and at risk of enforcement action and penalties. It should be noted that The Environment Agency has recently investigated 2,400 organisations and commenced civil penalty proceedings against some non-compliant organisations.
Companies need to comply with ESOS if at least one UK group member falls into one of the below categories:

For the December 2015 deadline (Phase One) we audited more than 80 sites for ESOS assessment and identified opportunities to reduce energy by over 9,500 MWh per annum, which is equivalent to energy cost savings of over £700,000 and over 4,000 tonnes in carbon dioxide emission per annum.
